DC National Aquarium!!!

WOW. We (Logan, Hayden and ME) all LOVED the Fishies!!! I can't wait to go back. So much so that I am considering getting a membership. This aquarium, while small, is perfect for Logan (and me too). It's manageable in size. Logan can't get too far when he runs away and its a great hour activity. BUT at $9.95 a visit, I'm not super excited to go back. With a membership, you get an annual pass that allows us to go as much as we want AND it also includes the Baltimore Aquarium. That place is A LOT bigger and a lot more expensive, $30/pp (so for me and steve its $60 before the gas to get to Baltimore and parking). A family membership (me, steve and the 2 boys) is $110 and an individual membership (good for me and the 2 boys) is $75. With Baltimore included, its a great deal. Plus, we can go back again, and again, and again, for free.

SOOOoooo, what do you think??? Should we get the pass? I'd love YOUR input !!!
***I just noticed the "gift" option on the website. hmmm.... a Special someone has a 2nd Birthday soon :)

Professor Logan leading class on the "Fishies"

6 Moms + 7 Kids = Lots of fun!

A giggly morning....

I'm so excited for today! I am taking the two boys to the DC Aquarium! We might hit some obstacles, like taking THE TWO BOYS to the aquarium, but should be fun....especially after our giggly morning!!!!

Logan got a little jealous of Hayden's laughing photo shoot that he asked for his own!

Logan's quest to save his snacks

Here's the story of a boy, his fort, and his quest to protect his snacks!

"Mom, don't tell them I'm here. Maybe they won't see me"

"Mom! Can they see me?"

"Oh No, they found me AND my snacks!"

That was a super day :)

Logan's tucked away in bed (we went to sleep around 7:45, yay!) and Hayden's taking an evening nap... so its quiet and I'm reflecting back on the day. We had a really great day :)

It started with a St. Patty's playgroup, then a great nap for Logan, a fun St. Patty's afternoon snack, a trip to the firehouse to see the firetrucks Again and playing outside before dinner.

I think I'm going to like this "stay at home mom of two boys" thing :)

A child's dream: Pudding, Cupcake and Green Milk - Yum!

Hanging out at the firehouse! IN the Firetruck!

Hayden's just hanging out in the grass while I played cars and soccer with Logan.
Plus, it made for great pictures, until the camera battery died.

Celebrating St. Patty's Day

Today we invited over my friends and Logan's friends to play and celebrate St. Patty's Day. I was brave and planned for the kids to do some finger painting with Shamrock Pudding and I had green milk for them to enjoy.

I should have stopped there, but NO. I had to try my hand at a Leprechaun Cupcake Cake. Not so cute...

Good thing that even if I couldn't make a cute cake, I made some cute kids.....

movin' on up...

I wasn't too upset when Hayden started to outgrow his Pajamas or knock-around one piece outfits, but when I put him in one of his few really cute Newborn Outfits, and his legs stuck out like "floods" and arms like "3/4 sleeves", I realized that my Newborn is not soo Newborn any more,.... more of a 0-3 kind of guy. Wow, that was fast!

I forgot to announce the  BIG news. On Hayden's 1 month bday, March 9th, I took him to be weighed. WOW! He was 10 lbs, 2 oz!!! Way to go Hayden!

Mardi Gras!

With only 18 hours notice, I found out yesterday that in honor of tradition in Portugal, Logan's "teacher" wanted the kids to wear costumes for Mardi Gras! I was more than thrilled to get to put together my first last-minute, homemade costume! :)
Meet the KING OF MY CASTLE!!!

Crown: cut and shaped Cherrios cereal box wrapped in tin foil and decorated with stickers = $0
Shirt: Extra Sweatshirt = $0

Wand: Found in the toy room. Probably left by another friend = $0

Cape: one of Hayden's burb rags, glued to the sweatshirt = $0
Chance to dress up my little King....
PRICELESS!!!

*****Aw man.... hindsight, I should have made him "le petit prince"

McD's

Steve comes home with this....

And Logan starts..."I want French fries, I want French fries!" HOW DOES HE KNOW! The bag wasn't open. He couldn't see inside. HOW does he know that McDonald's means French Fries

Just 'cause...

Last night Hayden woke up crying, and since it wasn't 'eatin time and his diaper was clean, I decided to take a walk.. through the house. He was so into it! As we walked around his head and eyes clicked left and right  like a typewriter documenting everything. He couldn't get enough. It's like all of a sudden his eyes are working and he wants to take it all in before it goes away again.... let me let you in on a secret Hayden. There will be lots more to see for a very loooooong time!

On the Logan front, he's also getting so big. His new favorite words are "Happy" and "Sad". The best part is his faces to show "happy" and "sad"! I'll have to get you a "sad" face - priceless. Last night he grabbed his Lion Bank (piggy bank thats a Lion) and gave it to daddy telling him "money daddy". He wanted steve to open the bank so he could put the money back into it. (great way to waste time, btw). Steve was so surprised at his growing vocabulary.

He's also still a great big brother. And he loves to play with his brother already.

Great Logan face,... but what's Hayden doing?

Check out that size difference...awww.

3..2..1.. Hayden's 3 Weeks Old

3.... FAST Weeks have gone by
2... EXCITED brothers
1... time that Hayden wakes up in the middle of the night

The last one depends on what you call waking up in the middle of the night. He's gotten into a nice 12, 3, 6, 9 round the clock schedule. So I feed him at 9pm while hanging out with Steve, after Logan goes to bed. I've been trying to get to bed myself by 10, but sometimes I've stayed up till the 12am feeding. Then he gets up again at 3am, and 6am. The key to a happy day is for me to get up by 8am. 8am allows me to shower and get dressed before Logan wakes at 8:30am and Hayden is up again to eat at 9am. (then we continue around the clock, 12pm, 3pm, 6pm, 9pm etc, etc).

Happy 3 Week Hayden.

Sharing a snack...

All Smiles :)
