A Paris NYE!

So what does one do with an awake 2 year old, waiting the last 21 minutes before midnight on New Years Eve.... watch the 2 year old chase the dog (for the first time ever I may add) and write about the nights festivities in hopes that writing will keep me awake. Somehow, Logan is WAY more awake than I am. And I am WAY more awake than Steve who fell asleep an hour ago. (and of course more awake than Hayden who went to bed at 8:30).

Tonight we rang in the New Year at Midnight, FRANCE Time! The idea: Since with kids its difficult to stay awake and more importantly, out of the house late, we hosted a party that started at 4:00. The kids PLAYED and the adults got to hang out and enjoy each other. A Paris NYE wouldn't be complete without a visit to the cafe with a view of the Eiffel Tower.... and a NYE party wouldn't be complete without Memory Photos with an awesome background (thanks Amanda for the 2012 banner!) Then at 6:00 Virginia time, midnight PARIS, we did a count down and balloon drop! The celebration was followed with dinner (crepes, quiche and fondue) and desserts (petits fours, croissants, cookies, crepes). Each family partied until the littlest family member decided that it was time to go.

THANK YOU to all our friends who were able to celebrate here with us. A special shout out to the many friends who wanted to come but were home sick (so sad that so many friends were sick this week).

Wishing you a 2012 filled with good health, happiness and fun!

And to all a goodnight!

We were away on Christmas Morning, but that didn't stop Santa from stopping at our house. Everything was ready when we came home! The boys LOVED Christmas and ALL of their gifts. Thank you for every one  who was a part of it!
A with that our Christmas comes to a happy end.....

So when we got out of the car, we excitedly ran into the house to "see what Santa left"

And he sees!!!!

The umbrella will go perfect with his new rain boots - thanks Gma

And Logan had a present for mommy :)

We were both really excited for the gift exchange :)

Nichols Christmas

Stop one of our Holiday Journey was Hanukah Dinner with Dad and the Feinmans, next stop was Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with the Lombardi/Feinmans and the third stop is here in CT for Christmas with the Nichols. Logan and Hayden have lots of fun with their cousins.
We even had a visit from a few Santas in-training :)
Just one more stop - HOME! Can't wait for the boys to see what Santa left at our house and being that Logan really got into getting gifts, i know he'll be excited too!

It's Baby's First Christmas....The Best Gift Ever!

Thank you Dean, Logan and Hayden's 18 year old Uncle for sharing this 1961 song that is so perfect for this Christmas!

It's baby's first Christmas,
It's something to see,
Mommy and Daddy,
Trimming baby's Christmas tree,

It's baby's first Christmas,
And oh, what a joy,
Shopping all around,
For every pretty toy,

Baby's big brother,
Is busy with his toys,
And he's shining up the chimney,
For Santa Claus!

It's a very special Christmas,
A blessing from above,
It's baby's first Christmas,
A Christmas full of love'
