party #1: Fire truck, Fire truck!

The past three days have been tough for Logan. I have been working on his Special Fire truck birthday cake to take to his daycare birthday party. Every night he would say, "Fire truck cake. I want to eat it." and I would say, "not today, we have to wait for your birthday". Last night I told him, "tomorrow, after nap, mommy will bring your fire truck cake to Miss Laurinda's." and don't you know it. The first thing he said when I went in to get him this morning, "mommy. Fire truck cake. I want to eat it at Miss. Laurinda's. Today was the big day!!!

After nap, I met Logan and his daycare friends with his Fire Truck cake. It was a big success! Here are a few pictures of "The making of a Fire truck cake".

The cake turned out great and Logan was happy to share it with his friends!

And to end a great day, we made a stop at the Lorton Fire Station to see the Real Fire Trucks and to share the rest of the Fire Truck cake. There were two calls when we were there. Logan loved the commotion and screamed out "Fire Truck" and "Ambulance" as they pulled out!

We had such a great day. Can't wait for his Birthday on Sunday!
